Through the Threshold is the third painting in my Awakening series, capturing the moment of stepping forward—an embrace of the unknown and a commitment to the path.
The scene unfolds on a stone path, split between two realms: one grounded in familiar reality, the other shifting into ethereal blues and greens. 
This division mirrors the seeker’s internal state—standing at the threshold of transformation, where the world she knew begins to dissolve into something more profound.
She walks forward in a flowing white dress, a bouquet of flowers in hand. 
To me, she is both calm and resolute, embodying the weight of this choice. 
The blue sash tied around her waist suggests devotion, a readiness to surrender to the journey.
The torii gate ahead, marked with a small but significant emblem, stands as a sacred passage. 
It is a silent invitation—crossing it is not just a physical act but a spiritual decision, one that requires trust in what lies beyond.
Squirrels accompany her, playful yet watchful, as if guiding her forward. 
In the reflection below, something unexpected emerges—an unseen presence woven into the fabric of this journey.
The reflection itself becomes a doorway, reminding us that transformation is not only about moving forward but also about seeing the world, and ourselves, in a new way.
This is the seeker’s step through the threshold—the point where hesitation gives way to movement, and the path truly begins.
